The horses brought us to Bizerte, and are now a big part of our lifes.
It all started when we discovered a local ranch during one of our early visits to Bizerte. What began as a shared passion for riding quickly turned into a close friendship, and eventually into a long-term collaboration that led us deeper into the region and, in many ways, to the creation of Al Madina itself.

Today, we work closely with two trusted ranch partners in the area. Over time, these partnerships developed into a consistent offer of riding experiences for beginners, intermediate riders, and experienced equestrians – from one-hour rides to multi-day riding holidays.
​
Owning our own horse was simply the next natural step. It allows us to explore new parts of the region, develop unique riding experiences, and spend even more time doing what first brought us to Bizerte.
OUR PARTNER RANCH
Located just 20 minutes from Al Madina, our partner ranch is home to a small herd of well-cared-for horses suitable for riders of all experience levels.

For beginners, children, and returning riders, the ranch offers calm and experienced horses that are used to working with tourists. For advanced riders, eight highly trained endurance horses are available, regularly competing in Tunisia's 120 km endurance races during the winter season.
​
The horses are kept in small social groups with regular turnout, quality equipment, and careful handling. Their welfare always comes first, and both the ranch owner and our team share the same philosophy: a great riding experience starts with happy and healthy horses.

The ranch is surrounded by open countryside and can be reached within 20 minutes by car or taxi from our Riad. From there, the trails lead all the way to Ain Damous Beach, one of the most beautiful and least accessible beaches in the region, making horseback the perfect way to discover it.

To ensure the well-being of our best friends and the safety of every rider, we kindly ask you to follow a few rules:

Maximum rider weight: 85 kg

Please remain calm when entering the ranch. No shouting, running, or sudden movements around the horses.

We reserve the right to end a ride or ask a guest to dismount at any time if their behavior is unsafe, irresponsible, or harmful to the horses or the group.

Our Beginner Riding Holidays are designed for guests with little or no riding experience. Throughout the week, you'll combine relaxed riding lessons with guided trail rides, gradually building confidence before exploring the surrounding forests, countryside, and beaches on horseback.
